Irene Chang Britt was appointed President-North America Foodservice in December 2008 and leads the company’s traditional foodservice business as well as the retail perimeter business across the United States and Canada. She reports to Denise Morrison, Senior Vice President and President-North America Soup, Sauces and Beverages.

Irene joined Campbell as Vice President and General Manager-Sauces and Beverages in December 2005. She was responsible for the U.S. Beverage portfolio, as well as the Prego and Pace sauce, Swanson poultry, and Campbell’s beans businesses and strategic development of "simple meals" platforms. Under Irene’s leadership, the Sauces and Beverages business delivered three consecutive years of top- and bottom-line growth, including consistent gains of net sales and profit on the company’s U.S. Beverage business. In 2008, Campbell elevated healthy beverages to one of its three strategic focus areas, along with simple meals and baked snacks.

Previously, Irene spent eight years with Kraft Foods, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Salted Snacks division. She also held roles as Vice President and Business Leader of the Canadian Biscuit and Snacks division and Vice President of Marketing for Salted Snacks in New Jersey, as well as roles in Strategy. Before that, she spent 12 years at Kimberly-Clark, where she moved up progressively in marketing positions and held key assignments in Sales and Research and Development leadership. As Director of the Washroom Systems business, she played a central role in integrating the Scott Paper business and organization after it was acquired by Kimberly-Clark.

Irene has sponsored the Campbell’s Multiple Sclerosis Society City to Shore fundraising bicycle ride and the Campbell’s “Driving for the Cure” golf tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She has twice served as Chairman of the N.J. Kraft Employee Fund, led two United Way campaigns as Co-Chair and Executive sponsor, and served on the Boards of Nabisco Ltd., the Snack Food Association, and StyleGarage.com. Irene is currently serving on the Catalyst Board of Advisors and is a past President of a regional board of Big Sisters in Canada.

Irene has been honored with several awards for her business and community accomplishments, including in 2008 being recognized by NJBiz as one of the Best 50 Women in Business, by Pink magazine as a Top 15 Innovator, and by Progressive Grocer as a Top Women in Grocery. She was recognized in 2002 with a Corporate Achievement Award by the Organization of Chinese Americans for corporate and community achievements.

Irene earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Toronto and her M.B.A. degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, where she graduated on the Dean’s Honor List. In addition to her first language, English, Irene also speaks French and Chinese.
