As a Campbell employee, who happens to be gay, I feel privileged to work for a company that lives into its values. “Do Right and Be Real” is not just something that adorns the walls of our workplace, it lives in the hearts of our employees. It’s the main reason I get up and come to work at Campbell every day.

Today marks the tenth year that Campbell has been awarded a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI)! CEI is the nation’s premier benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.

For the past decade, Campbell has consistently pushed the envelope to ensure we remain a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ equality by maintaining best-in-class non-discrimination workplace protections, benefits and inclusive policies.

This recognition is also timely, as Sunday, March 31 is International Transgender Day of Visibility, a day of celebration for transgender people around the globe for their courage to live authentically. Campbell supports the Transgender community through our inclusive policies and benefits, our Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Prevention policy prohibits discrimination against transgender employees by explicitly including “gender identity” and “gender expression” among the list of protected categories, and Campbell is proud to offer transgender-inclusive healthcare coverage and benefits.

Having been recently appointed co-chair of Campbell’s OPEN or Our Pride Employee Network, I am honored to celebrate this award with all my Campbell colleagues. This is a prime example of how seriously the company takes its responsibility to ensuring our employees feel valued, respected and empowered to bring their whole self to work each and every day. It’s an exciting day and an even more exciting time to be a part of the Campbell Soup Company!
