Meet the people who help make the food you love

Life at Campbell’s

From our test kitchens to our manufacturing sites, from farm fields to store shelves, our employees have been connecting people through food they love for more than 150 years.

Our people are the key to our success as a company, so we’re taking you behind the scenes to learn more about the people who make our food.

Hao Wang, Scientist, Bakery Research & Development

Do you like your burger served on a pillowy-soft Pepperidge Farm Farmhouse Butter Bun? What about a sandwich with all the trimmings on Farmhouse Honey White bread? If so, you can thank Hao! She’s a product developer on our Bakery Research & Development team who created these tasty buns and breads from scratch (in the middle of a pandemic, no less!).

Her favorite Campbell product? Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies and Farmhouse Honey White bread.

“I developed the bread, so it’s like my own kid!” – Hao Wang

James Lowell, Buyer, Potatoes

Every day at work is different for James, a potato buyer on our procurement team. He works with growers and suppliers across North America to make sure we have access to the best possible potatoes for our snacks and soups.

Collaboration is key in James’ role—which requires him to work through challenges with our suppliers and cross-functional teams internally to come up with creative solutions that solve unique problems.

“While it’s a large company with thousands of employees, Campbell provides a feeling of a close-knit community,” says James.

Cassidy Hampton & Danielle Redig, Production Coordinators, Beloit, Wisconsin Plant

Once the perfect ingredients are grown and sourced, they make their way to our plants—like our Beloit, Wisconsin plant that makes Kettle Brand chips. They’re met by two vital members of the Beloit team, Production Coordinators, Cassidy and Danielle. They support supervisors and production employees on the floor, from solving issues to jumping in and running machines.

Cassidy and Danielle both describe working at Campbell as working with family.

“Whether I am on the clock or off the clock I feel as if everyone has my best interest in mind,” says Danielle.

Cassidy says, “There are several people I can call any time of day or night for any reason, inside or outside of work. I know every day when I walk in, I can make a difference and it’s noticed and appreciated.”

Shakirah Stinson, Design Manager

Shakirah designs the labels, marketing, and packaging that set our Meals & Beverages brands apart. One of her fondest memories as a designer has been seeing her first full redesign for V8 packaging on store shelves and in the media—that was 13 years ago, and it still makes her smile!

She loves the versatility of her job and solving problems to add value by creating a distinct, visual impact for our brands.

Donnie Huckeba, Labeler, Paris, Texas Plant

Once the labels are designed, they make their way to our plants so employees like Donnie can load them into a machine that adheres them to our soup cans. He makes sure that the labels correctly match the soup being made.

As one of the longest tenured Campbell employees—with over 53 years of service!—the biggest highlight of Donnie’s career has been the people he’s met and the friendships he’s made over the years at our Paris plant, which makes Campbell’s soups and Prego and Pace sauces and salsas.

Jason Leske, Controls Technician & Maintenance Coordinator, Charlotte, North Carolina

To keep our plants running smoothly, Jason’s goal at work is to keep equipment running efficiently to ensure we can make lots of high-quality food, like Jason’s favorite—Lance Grilled Cheese Crackers.

What makes working at Campbell unique? Jason says it’s the team interaction and collaboration. “You can always count on your team and teams from other departments to assist you,” he says.

Brandon Hamm, Regional Vice President, Sales

Our food is prepared, packaged, and ready to be shipped—but where’s it going? That’s up to Brandon and his team to figure out!

As part of our Meals & Beverages sales team, Brandon and his colleagues work to get our food to store shelves. Whether it’s collaborating with our supply chain to maximize food shipped or working with the revenue management team on promotions, his team is a key driver in maintaining strong partnerships with our customers like grocery store chains, large retailers, and corner stores.

Lisa Offt, Senior Director, Sales Finance

Lisa leads 15 people who are responsible for the financial oversight of our Meals and Beverages sales team, a role critical in making sure our soups, sauces, and beverages make it to customers.

One of her favorite parts of working at Campbell has been the opportunities she’s had to give back to her community—from sorting food at local food banks to building homes for those in need to planting trees and gardens in our hometown of Camden, New Jersey.

Most recently, she’s helped to launch a Women Inclusion Network in Finance that helps support women in finance within the company.

Eugene Johnson, Tractor Trailer Driver, Bloomfield, Connecticut

A third-generation employee—Eugene’s father, mother, sister, uncles, and brothers-in-law all worked for Pepperidge Farm—his grandfather was even Margaret Rudkin’s driver, the company’s founder!

Over his 43 years with the company, his favorite part has been driving our food all over the east coast and meeting employees from our sales team.

His advice for others looking to find success? “Enjoy what you do and care about your coworkers.”

Shibani Potnis, Director, Goldfish, Marketing

Have you heard about our latest innovation, Goldfish Mega Bites? If so, you can thank Shibani and the Campbell Snacks team, who are responsible for telling the story of one our most beloved brands—Goldfish crackers!

While her responsibilities vary from reviewing creative advertising to planning what’s next for Goldfish, Shibani’s favorite part of her job is hearing directly from our consumers.

“When you tell someone what you do and a story follows, or they share a special memory that they have with our brands, that is the most gratifying of all!” -Shibani Potnis
