Campbell Soup Company’s Chairman of the Board, Les Vinney, has been named to the National Association of Corporate Directors’ 2016 NACD Directorship 100. This annual list recognizes the leading corporate directors, corporate-governance experts, policymakers and influencers who make a significant impact to the boardroom. NACD has acknowledged individual directors who serve as role models in promoting exemplary board leadership, oversight and courage in the boardroom for almost four decades. He was honored at the 10th Annual NACD Directorship 100 Gala in New York City last night.
Les has been a director of Campbell since 2003 and was named Chairman of the Board in September 2015. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of STERIS Corporation, a provider of infection prevention and surgical products and services, from 2000 until 2007, and served as Senior Advisor to STERIS until his retirement in 2009. Prior to becoming President and Chief Executive Officer, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of STERIS. In addition to serving on the Campbell Board, Les has been a director of Patterson Companies, Inc. since 2008, and served on the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland from 2005 through 2010.
