We’re catching some sun at our World HQ.  Yesterday, we broke ground on a 4.4-megawatt (MW) solar power project.

Joining forces with power partners BNB Renewable Energy Holdings, SunPower Corp. and ORIX USA Corp. the solar array will provide energy to Campbell through a 20-year power purchase agreement, generating the equivalent of 20% of our campus’ annual energy demand.

Developed by BNB, the project will feature SunPower’s solar panels on our nearly 40-acre campus, and 2.73 MW will be installed on rooftops and new solar canopies in the parking lots.

This is the third solar project for Campbell, following the 9.8MW system at our Napoleon, Ohio plant and the 1MW system at Pepperidge Farm bakery in Bloomfield, Conn.

The World HQ solar array is scheduled to be completed this fall.

Bonus points: The project includes five electric vehicle-charging stations, provided by PSE&G via its EV Workplace Charging Program, for use by our employees.
