We received a 100% score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality index (for the 9th time!) That is cause for celebration and I was elated when I heard, but not at all surprised.

My first day at Campbell was in June 2016. I was extremely nervous pulling into the lot, but as I parked my car I noticed something I didn’t expect: a rainbow flag flying in front of the building to celebrate Pride month.

The effect on me was immediate. It signaled that I was going to be able to be my true, whole self at work. It gave me a huge boost of confidence knowing that Campbell respects and celebrates diversity in a way that goes above and beyond the norm. All before I walked into the front door. It’s a moment that I will never forget.

Campbell’s commitment to the LGBT+ community doesn’t end at flying a flag, but through policies and actions.

The perfect score is only awarded to companies that have robust non-discrimination policies, completely equitable benefits for LGBT+ workers and families and, an internal and public commitment to LGBT+ equality. For us who work here, I can absolutely say Campbell lives into its values and truly Seeks “The Power of Different”— one of our core company values.

Campbell also earned a spot on the HRC’s 2018 Buying Guide for Equality, a guide to businesses, products and services that support LGBT equality, and a signal to our consumers that our commitment to diversity and inclusion is steadfast.

This is the “Best Place To Work” for me, and I’m incredibly proud that HRC once again publicly recognized what so many of us already know.
