Campbell Soup Foundation celebrates Camden community partners

Community

From the beginning, we’ve proudly called Camden, New Jersey home. As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we’re reaffirming our commitment to building strong community connections in our hometowns.

This month, we brought together our Camden community partners for the Campbell Soup Foundation’s 15th networking breakfast. We celebrated our 150th anniversary, along with the achievements of the many community organizations who are our partners.

“This breakfast is an opportunity for us to recognize one another’s achievements, while looking forward to the future and our continued work together in Camden,” said Kim Fortunato, President of the Campbell Soup Foundation.

At this year’s event, we were also excited to share a special Campbell Soup Company archives exhibit and presentation highlighting the work of our company’s founders, Joseph Campbell and Abraham Anderson, and all the other amazing employees who have built our company over the last 150 years.

“We’ve been a proud part of the Camden community since our founding in 1869, and we’re so glad you’re here with us to celebrate this big birthday,” said Sarah Rice, Senior Corporate Archivist.

Since Campbell and Anderson launched our company in 1869, Campbell has been an integral part of the Camden community. Just in the past decade, we’re proud to have provided nearly $30 million to support our Camden neighbors. Since 2010, we’ve been working to improve the health of young people in Camden through our 10-year, $10 million Campbell’s Healthy Communities program, which we have also extended to other Campbell communities.

The work to give back to our Camden hometown continues, and we couldn’t do it without partnerships with remarkable community leaders like the ones we were proud to honor at our networking breakfast.
