The best presents often can’t be wrapped with a festive bow. They’re the gifts of time and talent that resonate long after the celebration is done. Read on for a sampling of the many ways Campbell employees are providing nourishment of body and spirit for members of their communities worldwide during this holiday season.

Campbell Arnott’s: A Variety of Giving
On December 8, roughly 40 employees from our North Strathfield and Huntingwood sites in Australia volunteered at the Variety Kids Christmas party (see feature photo). Variety helps sick, disadvantaged and special needs children experience a break from the stresses and strains of everyday life. The team supported the activities around Fairy Sparkle, an Arnott’s Foundation beneficiary who brings cheer to hospital patients.
The team at our Huntingwood plant also collected at least 100 gifts for Fairy Sparkle to deliver to sick children at nearby Mount Druitt Hospital. At our Marleston plant, the team is holding a Christmas raffle including a large stocking of donated prizes, with the proceeds benefitting Camp Quality, which provides camping experiences for children with cancer and their families. Giving Tree gifts at the Virginia plant will benefit people served by the Salvation Army.
U.S. Biscuit & Bakery, Norwalk, Conn.: Carving Out Time to Help Carver Kids
About 20 members of the U.S. Biscuit & Bakery Marketing team wrapped about 350 presents for kids served by the Carver Community Center. Carver is the area’s largest provider of after-school programs for middle and high school students. The toys were donated by the Rowayton Fire Department.

Campbell Canada: Making Spirits Bright — and Well-Fed
Campbell Canada is giving 20,000 pounds of soup to the Daily Bread Food Bank as a corporate sponsor. Moya Brown, Vice President of Marketing, talked about the donation on Canadian morning news and entertainment television program Breakfast Television Toronto, and on Friday she was filmed live from the show’s annual Spirit of the Season event at the Sheraton Centre in downtown Toronto.
Throughout 2015, the Canadian team donated nearly 2 million pounds of food and committed $50,000 to Food Banks Canada, and another $20,000 for the charity to split among the Provincial associations of Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia as part of the Help Hunger Disappear program.
“Campbell continues to be a great supporter of food banks in Alberta and across Canada,” said Stephanie Rigby, Executive Director, Food Banks Alberta. “We are so grateful for Campbell’s ongoing donations of food as well as its commitment financially through programs such as Help Hunger Disappear. With the challenging times that Alberta is facing, these gifts are even more important.”
