CAMDEN, N.J., May 25, 2001 – Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) today announced the appointment of two senior executives – Doreen A. Wright, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer and James M. Kenney, President of the Campbell Sales Company.
Wright, 44, was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Nabisco, Inc. from 1999-2001. Since April she has served as a consultant to Campbell. She will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas R. Conant and oversee the company’s global information technology organization. Wright has over 20 years experience creating and leading information technology organizations and systems, much of it spent with leading U.S. financial service firms. Her appointment is effective June 6, 2001.
Kenney, 54, is a 30-year Procter & Gamble Company veteran, most recently serving as Vice President – Customer Business Development for Global Food and Beverage. At Campbell, he will oversee the 650-person U.S. retail sales organization, which sells all Campbell’s soup brands as well as “Prego,” “Pace,” “V8,” “V8 Splash,” “Franco-American” and “Swanson” products. Kenney will report to Larry McWilliams, Senior Vice President – Sales and Chief Customer Officer, who joined Campbell from The Coca-Cola Company in March 2001. Kenney’s appointment is effective July 2, 2001.

Wright began her career at Merrill Lynch managing several retail client service and processing units. In 1984 she joined Bankers Trust Company as Vice President, Institutional Trust and Custody Marketing. For the next 10 years she worked throughout the firm in leadership positions in Defined Contribution Asset Services, Institutional Trust Operations and Global Assets Defined Benefit Systems. Bankers Trust named her a Managing Director in 1991. From 1995-1998 Wright was Senior Vice President, Operations & Systems for Prudential Insurance Company’s Prudential Investment group where she led a 3500-person team.

Wright earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She serves on the American Repertory Ballet Board of Trustees and Rutgers University’s Board of Advisors. She is also on the board of New Jersey-based AlphaNet Solutions, Inc., a publicly traded network services company.
Kenney joined Procter & Gamble in 1970 and rose through the sales and customer business development organization to senior North American and global positions. He served as Director, Customer Business Development for the Consumer Products Goods (CPG) selling division, which included all aspects of foodservice such as distribution networks, restaurants and schools, in the first half of the 90s. From 1995 to 1999 he was Vice President – Customer Business Development, North America Food/Beverage. In this position, he led the North American selling organization, worth approximately $3.2 billion in annual sales in retail food/beverage, foodservice and bottlers. In 1999 his role expanded to Vice President – Customer Business Development, Global Food/Beverage with responsibility for a 700-person organization and $4.5 billion in sales.
