CAMDEN, N.J., May 31, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Campbell Soup Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB), will kick off its 37th annual Campbell Soup Summer Program on Thursday, June 2, 2011.

At the event, the Campbell Soup Foundation will donate $385,000 to fund summer camp programs for 10,000 Camden-area youth. The donation will support 26 summer programs run by 25 nonprofit organizations.

This year’s Foundation grants will benefit elementary, middle and high-school children in Camden City. The summer camps provide opportunities for children to participate in a variety of fun and educational activities during the summer when they might otherwise be idle.
