Campbell to Kick off “Make a Difference Week” at Holy Name School in Camden

Approximately 1,200 Employees Expected to Participate in Week-Long
Effort Focusing on Reducing Hunger and Childhood Obesity in Southern New
Jersey

CAMDEN, N.J., Oct 21, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) —

Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) announced it is gearing up for
the fifth annual “Make a Difference Week,” the company’s annual week of
service, taking place Saturday, Oct. 22 through Saturday, Oct. 29.
Approximately 1,200 employees are expected to participate in 90
volunteer projects throughout the week.

Campbell’s executive leadership team will kick off “Make a Difference
Week” on Monday, Oct. 24, at Holy
Name School in Camden where they will help prepare and serve lunch to
students. Campbell chefs will create the menu using “Campbell’s”
products and fresh ingredients. Volunteers also will participate in the
Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) program put on by the Y
which will include leading physical activities for the students.

Over the course of the week Campbell employees will participate in
projects ranging from sorting and boxing food at the Food Bank of South
Jersey, MANNA and Philabundance in Philadelphia; prepping community
gardens with the Camden Children’s Garden; gleaning produce for donation
at a local farm with New Jersey Farmers Against Hunger; installing a new
playground for the New Life Community Development Corporation and much
more.

Campbell expanded national “Make a Difference Day” to “Make a Difference
Week” five years ago after a record number of employees expressed
interest in volunteering. This year, projects will continue to focus on
the company’s commitment to reducing hunger and childhood obesity in its
hometown communities. “Make a Difference Day,” the largest day of
volunteer service in the United States, is held annually on the fourth
Saturday of October. Campbell has been participating in the day for more
than 25 years and was previously recognized as having one of the top 10
volunteer projects in the country.
