Campbell’s SOUPer Olympic Parents Announced; 15 Finalists Vie for Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ — Campbell Soup Company today announced
the nominees for its Campbell’s SOUPer U.S. Olympic Parents Award. As an
official Olympic supplier, Campbell, in conjunction with the United States
Olympic Committee, created the Campbell’s SOUPer U.S. Olympic Parents Award to
recognize the unique commitment and dedication of the many parents of U.S.
Olympic hopefuls who through personal involvement and self-sacrifice have
helped to nurture the Olympic dream of their child.

Each of the 15 parents will receive a $1,000 cash donation from Campbell
to help offset travel costs to see their child compete in Salt Lake City this
February. In addition, Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalists will be chosen from
among the Campbell’s SOUPer U.S. Olympic Parents by a panel of Olympic
medalists, including Debi Thomas, Phil Mahre and Eric Heiden, and
representatives from the USOC and Campbell Soup Company. The Campbell’s
SOUPer U.S. Olympic Parents Gold Medalists receive an additional $10,000, the
Silver Medalists will receive $5,000 and the Bronze $3,000.

parents play to help support the athletic endeavors of our American athletes.”
The nominated parents are a distinguished group who has been selected by their
child’s sports National Governing Bodies representing each of the 15 winter
Olympic disciplines. The SOUPer Olympic Parents include:

Campbell Soup Company is an Official Supplier for the 2002 Olympic Winter
Games and of the 2002 and 2004 U.S. Olympic Team. In addition to recognizing
SOUPer Olympic Parents, Campbell has also committed to provide a minimum of
$500,000 in funding to the US Olympic Team via consumer purchases of
commemorative Campbell Olympic mugs. This initiative will be used by the U.S.
Olympic Team to help U.S. athletes with their everyday training needs.
