Pacific Foods Barista Series: Serving coffee and the community

Community

For years, Pacific Foods has assembled boxes of food for children experiencing food insecurity. In the brand’s hometown of Tualatin, Oregon the local coffee community has played a big role in supporting this work, building hundreds of boxes for kids in need.

Since the beginning of Pacific’s Barista Series line in 2002, coffee workers have served as an inspiration for its plant-based beverages, and the team has developed relationships with coffee professionals in multiple markets throughout the country. Baristas play a vital part in our work, sharing the story of coffee, and fostering hospitality and community in the places they live and work. So, when the pandemic left many coffee shops shuttered and baristas out of work, the Pacific team found a way to give back.

The team partnered with brand ambassadors across the country to provide support for coffee workers hit hard by the effects of the pandemic, reallocating marketing dollars to provide over $30,000 in support through food donations and care packages.
