Thanksgiving arrived early this year for the Food Bank of South Jersey. Yesterday, The Soulfull Project donated over 21,000 servings of hot cereal to help the food bank assist more than 200,000 of our neighbors who might not otherwise know where their next meal is coming from.
After just three months of sales, The Soulfull Project made its first donation bringing its it’s healthy, hot cereal product to the people who need it the most. For every serving of The Soulfull Product purchased, another serving is donated to a regional food bank.
The 21,000 servings (360 cases) of hot cereal included 8,000 servings based on the buy-one-give-one model and an additional 13,000 servings as a thank you to the Food Bank of South Jersey, the project’s first community partner.
In August, four of our longtime employees and industry veterans launched The Soulfull Project, a public benefit corporation dedicated to ending hunger and sparking community involvement. If you’re in New Jersey or eastern Pennsylvania, you can find their line of hot cereals at 14 Wegmans locations, and you can also buy online.
It’s a mission we can all be thankful for.
