40 community impacts in 40 seconds

Community

By: Amanda Bauman, Senior Manager Community Affairs

Each year, our week of service never ceases to amaze me.  Campbell employees from coast to coast in 28 of our U.S. locations rallied together to serve their communities during Giving That Matters Week.

From picking oranges with Food Forward in Camarillo, CA, to planting trees with the NJ Tree Foundation in Camden, NJ, to sorting food with Foodshare in Bloomfield, CT, participating teams were more than 6,000 people strong and their efforts helped to strengthen and empower healthy communities in our Campbell hometowns.

It was our largest year yet and included some incredible work by the newest members of our Campbell family, Snyder’s-Lance and Pacific Foods.  The tremendous effort was thanks in part to more than 80 community partners and a network of 100+ team leaders from across our network.

Through a program with Feeding America, our manufacturing facilities collected an impressive 10,000 backpacks full of food for youth in need in their local communities – the most collected to date! In all communities, our employees chose to work with long-term community partners, a testament to the nonprofit partnerships that are nurtured all year long.

It is truly giving that matters.
