Campbell Honored for Board Room Gender Diversity

News

Campbell was recently recognized by two leading organizations focused on advancing women’s leadership, the Women’s Forum of New York and the Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ).

At its Breakfast of Corporate Champions, the Women’s Forum of New York named Campbell a “corporate game changer” for having at least 20 percent female representation on its board of directors.

EWNJ honored Campbell with the Corporate Board Gender Diversity Award in October, which recognizes publicly-held companies in New Jersey who have at least three women on their boards.

“As a consumer packaged goods company, it is so important that our board reflect the diversity of our consumers in a dynamic marketplace,” said Denise Morrison, Campbell’s President and CEO. “We are witnessing incredible seismic shifts in the consumer landscape and it is critical for our company to anticipate and deliver on those changes to drive shareholder value.”

Four females sit on Campbell’s 12-member board, including one executive.

The Women’s Forum of New York is the founding flagship of the International Women’s Forum, a global organization of nearly 6,000 outstanding women leaders in over 74 forums around the world. The Breakfast of Corporate Champions was launched in 2011, and is held biannually in the belief that change is inspired by successful example. Campbell was previously honored by the Women’s Forum of New York in 2011 and 2013.

EWNJ is an organization for New Jersey’s executive women to connect and share experiences, develop relationships and build business. Campbell previously received the Board Gender Diversity Award in 2014.
