Campbell Named Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality for the 7th Year

News

Campbell has received a perfect score for the 7th year on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

“We are thrilled to have our commitment to LGBT inclusion recognized by the HRC with our seventh perfect score on its Corporate Equality Index,” said Elizabeth Morrison, Campbell’s Global Director-Workforce Diversity. “It’s gratifying to be distinguished as one of the nation’s top places where employees can confidently bring their ‘whole selves’ to work. Ensuring and respecting diversity and creating an inclusive workplace will continue to be a vital key to unlocking our potential.”

Campbell satisfied all of the CEI’s criteria, resulting in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality. Campbell also earned a spot on the HRC’s 2016 Buying Guide for Equality, a guide to businesses, products and services that support LGBT equality.

The 2016 CEI rated 1,027 businesses by evaluating LGBT-related policies and practices including nondiscrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community. Campbell joins 406 other major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks for 2016. When the index began measuring LGBT inclusiveness in 2002, only 13 of the 380 companies surveyed achieved a perfect score.

With more than 1.5 million members and supporters, the HRC is America’s largest organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality.
