The Institute of Directors, an independent association of 30,000 prominent senior executives worldwide, recognized Campbell with what it describes as the “Holy Grail of corporate excellence”: the Golden Peacock Global Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance.
The Golden Peacock Award was established in 1991. Each year, a team of professional independent assessors considers more than 1,000 entries from 25 countries. Finalists’ applications are reviewed by an eminent jury headed by Dr. Ola Ullsten, former Prime Minister of Sweden, and Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India.
Kathy Gibson, Campbell’s Vice President and Corporate Secretary, accepted the award on behalf of Campbell Soup Company on October 2, 2013 at the Golden Peacock Awards night in London. We are humbled and honored to put that Golden Peacock feather in our cap.
