Campbell Soup Company launched Campbell’s Healthy Communities in 2011–a long-term corporate commitment to measurably improve the health of young people in our hometown communities, beginning in Camden, NJ. Since its inception, Campbell’s Healthy Communities has expanded to three additional communities where Campbell operates–Connecticut, Ohio and Washington.
This week, we shared results from the fourth year of Campbell’s Healthy Communities program. We continue to advance our efforts in four strategic areas: food access; nutrition education, physical activity and access and public will. At the core of our work and central to our success and ability to scale is Collective Impact – a united approach to solving the complex social challenges of childhood obesity and food insecurity.
