This Thursday, 32 fresh faces will walk across the stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York City as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announces them in front of a live audience. They have plenty of people to thank – including coaches, siblings and friends – but Campbell’s® Chunky™ soup knows that the most important “thank you” goes to the moms of these talented prospects.
Campbell’s® Chunky™ soup, the Official Soup Sponsor of the NFL, is taking a unique approach to this year’s draft. Each time a prospect says thank you or shows gratitude to his mom in round one of the Draft, Campbell’s Chunky soup, creators of the iconic ‘Mama’s Boy’ campaign, will donate 1,000 cans of soup (up to 32,000) to the Food Bank For New York City, a Feeding America partner. Campbell and Chunky soup continue to remain committed to tackling hunger in America by sharing donations with local Feeding America food banks as part of its year round commitment.
Since it was introduced in 1997, the Chunky “Mama’s Boy” campaign has featured numerous high-profile NFL players, recognizing the various relationships players have with the moms, grandmothers and various role models. The Draft is an opportunity to thank and recognize mom for all the hard work and support she has shown her son and for Chunky to help provide much-needed soup to a local food bank.
