And we’re not alone in our commitment

Today Campbell joins Walmart and nine other corporations in a collaborative effort to source from women-owned businesses. In conjunction with The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, this announcement was made earlier today at Walmart’s Women’s Economic Empowerment (WWEE) Summit in Washington, D.C.

The group is working to raise awareness for the importance of sourcing from women-owned business, and the leaders signed onto the WWEE commitment to track and report spending over the next five years with certified women-owned businesses.

Campbell’s CEO Denise Morrison joined other corporate, government, non-profit and academic leaders at the event to discuss and share best practices on empowering women in different parts of retail product supply chains such as executive leadership, production and agriculture. Denise, the first female CEO in Campbell’s 149-year history, said:

“Campbell is proud to join this collaborative effort in order to raise awareness and foster more opportunities for female business owners,” said Denise.
