Campbell CEO to Undergo Follow-up Surgery from 2009 Auto Accident

CAMDEN, N.J., Mar 03, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB) today announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas R. Conant will undergo long-planned surgery on Monday, March 7, as a follow-up to earlier procedures related to his July 2009 automobile accident.


Conant has advised the company that he expects to be out of the office for several weeks. While he is recuperating, Denise Morrison, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations.
