Campbell Names David White from Procter & Gamble Senior Vice President-Global Supply Chain

CAMDEN, N.J., Feb 6, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Campbell Soup Company
(NYSE:CPB) today named David White as Senior Vice President-Global
Supply Chain. He will report to President and Chief Executive Officer
Douglas R. Conant and will oversee the management of Campbell’s Global
Supply Chain, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement,
logistics, and customer service. White’s appointment is effective
March 10, 2004.

White, 48, joins Campbell after 26 years with Procter & Gamble
(P&G). Most recently, as Vice President, Product Supply-Global Family
Care Business, he was responsible for all manufacturing, engineering,
purchasing, and customer logistics for the $4 billion division with
leading brands such as Charmin and Bounty paper products. He led 9,000
employees located at 17 plants in 10 countries.

Previously, White held a variety of positions within P&G with
responsibility for supply chain activities around brands including
Sunny Delight fruit juice, Pampers diapers, and Tide and Cheer
detergents. He has worked in several locations across North America as
well as in Europe. A native of Massachusetts, White holds both his
bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and his master’s degree in
manufacturing engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
