In North America, an expert panel of independent judges selected and ranked winners based on criteria including strength and depth of leadership practices, culture, examples of developing world class leaders, business performance and company reputation. A small number of companies began to emerge as companies to watch. These were organizations that distinguished themselves in their progress, commitment and innovation in delivering on the leadership agenda.
