Supporting our hometowns this Pride Month

Inclusion & Diversity

For the past year, our employee resource groups (ERGs) have been creating social justice funds to support organizations that align with their mission. For Pride Month, OPEN (Our Pride Employee Network) chose three non-profits to make an impact in the places where we live and work. The Campbell Soup Foundation will be matching all employee donations to the OPEN Social Justice Fund 100%.

Check out the reasons why OPEN chose these three organizations:

Triangle Community Center

In our Campbell Snacks community of Norwalk, Connecticut, Triangle Community Center (TCC) is on a mission to empower and advocate for LGBTQ+ people in Connecticut through programming focused on health, community, and learning.

“We value the impact the Triangle Community Center has had on the Fairfield County LGBTQ+ community, especially LGBTQ+ youth and the underserved. We’re proud to support their programming and clinical services, and always enjoy participating in their annual Pride in Park festival. In turn, we’ve benefitted from the allyship and LGBTQ+ workplace resources that the TCC has provided to us.”

The Kaleidoscope LGBTQ+ Youth Program

Kaleidoscope is a community-based Gay-Straight Alliance that offers monthly student-led meetings in a safe, supportive environment for LGBTQ+ and allied teens to gather, socialize, organize, and help each other in our hometown of Camden, New Jersey.

“Kaleidoscope is the only youth-centric LGBTQ+ program in South Jersey, so they help to fill a void in the community. They’re a youth-led organization, and I think it’s so important that they encourage teens to take on leadership roles to help them develop communication and organizational skills to enrich lives as they move into adulthood.”

RAIN

In Charlotte, North Carolina—the home of one of our Campbell Snacks offices—RAIN envisions ending HIV/AIDS in the Charlotte community and empowers people living with HIV/AIDS and those at risk to be healthy and stigma-free.

The creation of social justice funds is part of our Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Strategy. They help strengthen our ally networks and the communities where we live and work through financial donations.

The OPEN Social Justice Fund is one of seven funds we have launched for employees. Other funds include our Asian Network Social Justice Fund, Black Resource Group Social Justice FundCampbell Administrative Professionals Social Justice FundLatino Network Social Justice FundVeterans Connection Fund, and our Women of Campbell Social Justice Fund.
